Ingredient information & Warning labels information when burning candles. 

Here at Dapplelicious Scents & Things  we use fragrance oils and some essential oils if you have sensitive skin or are allergic to any  fragrance oils or essential oils.  A list of fragrances and essential oils are listed on the exact product page.  We just want to take an extra precaution for both you and I.

On our speciality candles we use crystals and crystal chips different variety and sometimes dried flowers not too much but also with essential oils if you are allergic to flowers and essential oils, fragrance oils or have sensitive skin.  A list of essential oils, fragrance oils and dried flowers will be listed on the product page.

100 % Soy Wax is used.  Sometimes Paraffin wax is used will be listed on product page.

Burning instructions & Warnings 

​

For our candles & tea light candles 

​

Trim wick to 1/4 of an inch before lighting the candle.  Keep candle on a leveled surface and on a fire resistant surface.  Keep candle away from any flammable objects  for example, matches, lighters, curtains, table clothes, etc.  Make sure nothing is above the flame for instance decorations etc.  Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours. ( I would suggest do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours) and make sure the candle has melted all the way to the outer rim where it touches the tin can or jar before blowing it out.

To prevent fire and serious injury.  Burn candle within sight.  Do not leave unintended or leave the house while candle is burning.  Keep away from children and pets reach.  Cats sometimes jump on tables where you may have a candle at etc.   As mentioned above do not light candle near any flammable objects inside or outside the house.

For our wax melts 

​

We use fragrance oils and essentials oils on our wax melts.  All fragrances or essentials oils will be listed on the product page for those that may have sensitive skin or is allergic to certain fragrances or essentials oils.

Single block wax melts contain fragrance oils or essentials oils some with crystals some without.  (The type of crystal chip  you get will not be listed on the product page, however the fragrance or essential oil will be for those that may have sensitive skin or is allergic to certain fragrances or essentials oils.

Only use with tea light warmers or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melting.  Please read your warmers instructions before use and melting the wax melts its most important to follow when using any type of wax melts.

 

100% Soy wax is used ( Paraffin wax is also used but will be indicated on product page )

To prevent fire or injury.  Remove packaging before use. Do not add water.  Do Not melt on the stove top or on an electrical portable stove warmer or non approved appliances. Do not store near heaters, base boards, etc. Use only in ventilated areas away from flammable objects. Do not leave unintended while children are around, Do not leave unintended while burning or plugged in. Do not leave on when leaving the house. Do not leave burning for more than 2 hours.  Discontinued use if the dish contains less than 1/2" of wax.

Crystals

For candles I suggest you take out the big crystals in order to allow the candle to have an even burn when melting for the smaller crystals you can either leave those in or take them out, but those will sink to the bottom.  For flowers I do not use that much flowers in my candles but sprinkles and a small rose bud for these candles you could do a few things use a candle warmer and leave the items in.  If you are going to lite the wick you can remove the rosebud and the crystal. If you decide to leave these in while burning the candle do not leave candle unattended.

To clean the wax from your crystals use warm water and dish soap and gently wipe the wax away.
